I’m going to need you to stop making these mistakes if you want to grow your business as a bridal HMUA!
Not to be rude, but all these mistakes I just know you’re making…because I made them all too! I’m here to help you save your time, sanity and reputation.
Myth 1: The More Weddings, the Better
Reality: Quality over quantity is key. Taking on too many weddings can lead to burnout and a downward spiral in the quality of your work. Instead of focusing on booking as many weddings as possible, aim to attract clients who truly value your work and are willing to pay for your expertise. Fewer, well-paid weddings are much more rewarding and sustainable than trying to book every available date in your diary.
Myth 2: Weddings Are the Only Way to Make Money
Reality: Weddings are just one part of what you can offer as a creative. I teach all my clients how to diversify their income with multiple income streams. Think about offering services like workshops, one-on-one training, or online courses. Expanding your expertise beyond weddings can open new opportunities and stabilise your income year-round.
Myth 3: Pretty Work = Guaranteed Bookings
Reality: While creating stunning work is essential, it’s not enough to guarantee bookings on its own. Consistently putting out high-quality content on social media is just as crucial. Brides want to see not only your beautiful work but also how you communicate, your professionalism, and how well you understand their needs.
You can learn how to reduce your weddings, make more income, create content that converts and have a new-found confidence when you take the steps to do so.
